When working on a design which has existing object such as a large tree, patio or other object, you will want to represent the item on the plan view but you will not want the item to show up on the legend or the estimate.  To accomplish this, place a symbol or draw the item such as a paver on the plan.  Right click on the item and select EXISTING LANDSCAPING. This will prevent to legend and estimate from including this item.
